The Annual Assisi Fun Day returned with a bang after a three-year hiatus at St. Joseph Institution International on 11 Jun 23. Dubbed “The Biggest Charity Carnival of The Year’’, the event was centred on raising funds for the needs of Assisi Hospice’s patients and their families. The goal: to raise S$1 m.

CBM joined forces with City Developments Limited (CDL) Group to help organise the event, from planning to execution. Over 90 CBM volunteers devoted their weekend to ensure that everything went smoothly without a hitch.

CBM Volunteers were hard at work despite the warm weather.

During the event, volunteers drew on their expertise in various fields such as logistics, security, and cleaning services. Meanwhile, other volunteers from the CDL Group gathered to set up nine stalls at the carnival.

The Assisi Fun Day 2023 offered visitors a delightful array of local treats and engaging activities – including game stalls, live performances, lucky draws, and many more. Singapore’s Minister for Education, Mr Chan Chun Sing, and Assisi Hospice Patron, Ms Ho Ching, also graced the event.

A highlight of the event was The CDL Challenge Bubble Soccer. It was a special charity segment where CBM’s team, including our CEO, Mr Roy Chiang, banded with CDL’s senior management and business partners in a friendly football match. The segment helped raise S$130,000, contributing to the event’s S$1 m target.

All in all, it was a fruitful session where staff from CBM and CDL collaborated toward a meaningful cause. CBM remains committed to taking up social causes to help build a better future for everyone.
