  • Who Should Attend
    The WSQ Guard and Patrol, Access Control Management course is suitable for any person who meets the regulatory requirement to be licensed as a security officer according to the Private Security Act 2007. The course provides essential skills and knowledge in guard and patrol, access control management and basic security equipment operations.

  • Who Should Attend
    This course is for training for all personnel performing the role of a Security Officer.

    Mode of Assessment
    Role play & Oral questions by POLWEL.

    Course Objectives
    This course will equip the learner with the skills and knowledge to recognise and attend with various terrorist threats.

    Pre-Requisites

    • Minimum Secondary 2 education

    • Listening/ Speaking: Minimum Level 4

    • Reading/ Writing: Minimum Level 4

    • Numeracy: Minimum Level 4

    • Read, write and speak English

    Course Completion / Examinable
    Learner must pass all prescribed tests/ assessment and attain 100% competency.

    Attendance
    Learner must achieve at least 75% attendance.

    Learning Outcomes

    • Describe contemporary terrorist threats

    • Identify person-borne threats

    • Identify vehicle -borne threats

    • Identify objects-based threats

    Certificate Obtained and Conferred by
    Statement of Attainment (SOA) from SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) will be issued for each module graded competent. SOA reflected as SEC-OBS-1002-1.1 Threat Observation.

    This course will develop to train cleaning professionals in applying WSH for cleaning industry by providing them with occupational health and safety training.
