As part of our Golden Jubilee celebrations, CBM’s management and staff came together to plant 50 trees along Compassvale Road as part of the NParks’ OneMillionTreesSG movement through its registered charity, Garden City Fund’s Plant-A-Tree Programme.

Mr Roy Chiang, CEO of CBM Pte Ltd, kickstarted the event in compliance with Safe Management Measures and even imparted some planting know-how to staff who needed assistance.

All the tree species planted were native to Singapore, including Tristaniopsis obovata, more commonly known as the Sea Tristania, and Dendrolobium umbellatum, also known as Petai Laut (Bitter Beans in Malay). The plants were chosen for their landscaping suitability and tolerance to roadside conditions.

Participants were guided on deep watering, which is a process to help the soil retain water for the saplings

CBM would like to thank all our partners and sponsors for joining us to help improve our urban environment and enhance our city state’s resilience towards climate change, transforming Singapore into a City in Nature.
