CBM Engineering is bolstering its foothold the Healthcare Industry. It has recently secured a 2-year FM contract with Mount Alvernia Hospital to provide Maintenance and Technical support from 1st June 2020 onwards.

In the healthcare industry, Facilities Management (FM) services play a vital role, which keeps operations smooth and safe whilst maintaining a healthy environment. Especially during these trying times, when healthcare systems need to meet the demands imposed by the recent outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

At CBM, we aim to imbue our strong expertise in the healthcare sector by supporting the medical organisation's primary objectives by means of maintaining, improving and adapting the buildings and infrastructure in order to create a safe & healthy environment. Having previously worked with Gleneagles Hospital, securing this FM contract validates our ability to provide a cost-efficient and operationally effective stringent system which meets the requirement of the healthcare sector.

Mount Alvernia was officially opened in March 1961 and was Singapore’s first private care hospital. Today, the medical institution houses 319 beds with over 60 specialist clinics and two multi-disciplinary specialist centres, with plans for further expansion later in the year. The hospital is set to construct a new $25 million Cancer Centre with the capability to treat up to 1,000 patients a year. The new centre will allow patients to be treated immediately without the need for a waitlist.
